Hey candle junkies!
Have you been craving the intoxicating aroma of the tropics? Looking to transport your senses to a warm, sandy beach without leaving home?
Good news! You’re in the right place.
Let’s take a mini-vacation for your senses. Today I’m gonna share some of the best tropical-scented candles you can find these days.
Gone are the days when you need to fly miles to enjoy the relaxing essence of coconut, the invigorating scent of pineapple, or the sweet allure of tropical flowers. With the right candle, you can instantly turn your living room, office, or even bathroom into a personal island getaway.
These are some of my favorite tropical scented candles at the moment, but by no means is this a list of all of them. If you want some more recommendations let me know down in the comments and I’ll help you out but if you’re anything like me you don’t like to have too many options to pick from. My indecisiveness just can’t handle that lol.
So let’s light some wicks why don’t we??
Candle Junkies 7 Favorite Tropical Scented Candles (Pin to Pinterest!)
1. Volcano by Capri Blue Candles
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that this specific scent from Capri Blue is one of the most popular candles ever. It has grown one of the largest cult followings after being the scent-of-choice that Anthropologie chose to use to fragrance their stores.
If you’ve never tried this one before, I highly recommend it, especially because it is like the ultimate fit for a list of the best tropical candles in my opinion. It smells like a gathering of various citrusy tropical fruits but with the sharpness toned down to give a softer fragrance that smells fresh and sweet. It’s truly very nice. A great candle to burn in the kitchen!
The one downside is that I find Capri Blue candles to not burn the best unless you burn the candle properly. By that I mean you NEED to burn it for at least a few hours the first time you light it, and you NEED to make sure you keep the wick trimmed down to 1/4 inch. If you want to learn how to take better care of all your candles you can find our candle burning guide here.
Price: $$
Most Prominent Scent Note: Tropical fruits. I notice guava and lemon notes first off
2. Hawaii by Homesick Candles
Homesick does a great job at capturing the essence of being in a specific place with their candle scents. Hawaii is no exception. If you’ve ever wanted a reminder of being on an island, this candle will bring you back.
While it is a little pricey for the size, it burns great and I still find it being worth the price tag.
Price: $$$
Most Prominent Scent Note: Pineapple and coconut
3. Mango Tangerine by Archipelago Candles
Archipelago doesn’t get enough love in my opinion. They are outstanding candles and I don’t see enough people in the community recommending them. If everyone tried this mango tangerine candle by them I think Archipelago would be on a lot more peoples radar.
This is a nice long lasting soy candle that burns the way you’d expect a luxury candle to burn and has a very noticeable tropical scent through that is just right.
Price: $$$$
Most Prominent Scent Note: The mango is the star here.
4. Valkiria by Overose Candles
The price tag might turn some people off from this candle, but for those looking for some luxury in their tropical candles, I highly recommend this Valkiria candle by Overose.
It’s a major success in all aspects being not only one of the most beautiful candles that I’ve burned, but also one of the most delightfully pleasant in its fragrance.
Price: $$$$$
Most Prominent Scent Note: Peach
5. Tropical Sunrise Trilogy by Woodwick Candles
Woodwick candles have a wooden cross wick which crackles as it burns down. It’s a nice touch to candles that are already pretty awesome if they didn’t have that.
The Trilogy scents that they put out have 3 different scents layered on top of each other which is also great if you want some variety in a single candle. Tropical sunrise features their scents: blue java banana, seaside mimosa, and tamarind & stonefruit from top to bottom.
Price: $$
Most Prominent Scent Note: Depends which part you are on!
6. Guava Mai Tai by Jewelscent Candles
Our favorite jewelry candle brand is back and it’s a classic scent from their collection that will be making this tropical lovers list.
Guava Mai Tai is a best seller from Jewelscent that has a near endless amount of positive reviews for it and will bring the beach right into your living room.
As is usual with these candles, they burn great due to their coconut soy wax blend and last forever. A great value even without the jewelry.
Price: $$
Most Prominent Scent Note: I notice the musky, fruity notes off the bat.
7. Coconut Beach by Yankee Candles Studio Collection
The studio collection from Yankee Candle features candles made with essential oils and an improved soy wax blend, giving them a nice cleaner, long lasting burn with just as much fragrance throw.
Coconut beach is the scent that I know a lot of people would first think of when they wonder what a tropical scented candle smells like. It’s got that fruity coconut smell but it is balanced nicely with notes of vanilla to round it off.
This is also the most budget conscious candle I’ve shared today, so it won’t break the bank which is nice as well.
Price: $
Most Prominent Scent Note: Coconut
