Thoughts on Bath & Body Works’ Champagne Toast Candle

Alright, so I finally got around to writing my thoughts on the ever-popular Champagne Toast candle from Bath & Body Works.

Simply put, Champagne Toast is one of the better champagne scented candles you can easily find, but I feel like it used to be better.

The Burn Time Bummer

Like most of Bath & Body Works’ 3-wick candles, this one burned through way too quickly. I mean, for the price point, you’d expect them to last a bit longer, right?

Scent Throw? More Like Scent Throw-Away

Now, let’s talk about the scent throw because, honestly, it was pretty lackluster, worse than I remember. Even in a small room, the fruity, champagne-y aroma was faint and struggled to make its presence known. Again, I remember this one being stronger.

How About The Fragrance Itself?

As for the scent itself, it was still.. pretty good. I recently talked about loving this candle in my blog post about my favorite champagne scented candles. And I still do like it.. it was just a little more generic than I remember it. Maybe it’s because I’ve tried better ones recently? Who knows.

The Usual Pricing Predicament

I want to address the elephant in the room: the price tag. Unless you manage to snag it during one of their infamous BOGO deals, you’re looking at dropping a pretty penny ($26.95 at regular price nowadays!) for a candle that burns fast and is in my experience, worse quality than it used to be.

In Conclusion

Look, I’m not saying the Champagne Toast candle is terrible – it’s just… worse than I remember.

Or, you know, maybe I just got a dud? Who knows?

But hey, that’s just my two cents! Let me know if you’ve had a different experience this one.
