Our first top candles under $30 post turned out to be one of the most popular posts on the blog. However, that original post was made over 3 years ago now (where does the time go?) and while the picks on that list are all still great, we thought it would be a good idea to update the list and share some of our new favorites at that price point.
If you are unfamiliar with that list you may be asking yourself, “Well can’t nearly all candles be under $30 if they are miniature versions of a certain candle?”. And you would be correct, but the way that we are differentiating this list is by calculating a general price per ounce (wax) of $3 and under. This way you aren’t getting a tiny candle for that $30.
Please remember that the prices of the candles on this list are from the time of writing and are based on the MSRP. Be sure to check for the current prices of any products found on this list before buying.
I’m super excited to share this new list with you as I have really been digging all of these candle scents lately. I tried to pick scents that would be real people pleasers and I can confidently say that these are some of greatest choices.
If you try any of these candles after reading this list please let me know how you liked them in the comments below! I try and use the feedback that I receive from all of you amazing readers to better make the future lists as helpful as possible.
Top 10 Scented Candles Under $30 (Pin it!)
1. Voluspa – Goji & Tarocco Orange
Note of Goji Berry, Ripe Mango, and Tarocco Orange.
We are big fans of Voluspa here at Candle Junkies. They use a coconut wax which is some of our favorite to burn and are just great quality candles overall.
For this list we chose one of the best sellers ‘Goji Tarocco Orange’. This is a candle that you need to experience if you are a true candle lover.
This candle comes in a range of sizes, but the 3 wick tin has the best scent throw and it comes in just under that $30 mark.
Wax Type: Coconut wax blend
Burn Time: 40 Hours
Price Per Ounce: $$
2. P. F. Candle Co. – Wild Herb Tonic
Lemon balm, crushed thyme, orange rind, and fir.
Since I originally posted this list a few years back I’ve had a lot more time to spend with P.F. Candle’s products and I have a new favorite for this blog post.
Wild Herb Tonic is everything that I love in scented candles. Fresh and herby with some light citrus, those are my go-to scents.
If this sounds like a scent you might like from the description then I know you will love it, because it is sooo good!
Wax Type: 100% Soy Wax
Burn Time: 50 -60 Hours
Price Per Ounce: $$$
3. Homeworx – Hot Cider Donut *Editor’s Choice*
Harvest apple, cinnamon sugar, vanilla bean, and spiced cider.
You’ve got to try one of these bad boys from Homeworx if you haven’t had the chance yet. The hot cider donut candle is a favorite of mine.
This brand is from Harry Slatkin who has been in the industry for a long time. After playing a part in making Bath and Body Works what it is today, he left and started this line of candles.
Wax Type: Soy – paraffin wax blend
Burn Time: 30 – 55 Hours
Price Per Ounce: $
4. Illume Boulangerie Jar Candle – Whipped Cream & Pear * Editors Choice *
A decadent infusion of warm vanilla, fresh pear, whipping cream and a hint of apple peel.
This fresh, french bakery inspired scent is so unique and SOO GOOD. I can’t stress those last couple words enough.
Every candle from the Boulangerie line by Illume is amazing as well, so take a peek at the other scents too.
If you are a fan of bakery scents and you hadn’t heard of these candles yet.. You’re welcome =)
Wax Type: Coconut wax blend
Burn Time: 35 Hours
Price Per Ounce: $$$
5. Aira Soy Candles – Lovespell
Citrus, cherry blossom, hydrangea, apple and peach.
I think it’s even just soothing to look at these candles. It’s not a surprise that these also made our best candles for stress relief list.
These long lasting candles are organic, vegan, and kosher, so you can burn these babies guilt free.
The fragrance that was made popular by Victoria’s Secret is one of our favorites no matter the time of year and here is a slightly different take on it.
Wax Type: Soy wax
Burn Time: 40+ Hours
Price Per Ounce: $$
6. Pure Integrity – Lemongrass & Clary Sage
Lemongrass with fresh green notes slightly enhanced by sage.
These are just amazing candles at a very affordable price. The fragrance is strong but not too overpowering and they are long lasting.
Pure Integrity focuses on what’s in the jar rather than what’s on the outside and what you get is something worth the price.
We also love the way the semi transparent glass gives off a warm glow as the flame burns down throughout.
Wax Type: Soy wax
Burn Time: 75 Hours
Price Per Ounce: $
