Incredible Fall Candles That We Recommend

best fall candles

Fall is one of my favorite times of the year to go on a candle binge.

Scents of warm apple pie straight from the oven, glazed cinnamon buns, and freshly baked pumpkin pie get my cravings racing.

With all those scents, not to mention, all the candle brands around these days, it can be pretty difficult to know which candles to get without spending a fortune and testing them all yourself.

That’s where we come in! We like to think we have pretty good taste in candles, and since we have already gone through those spending sprees ourselves, we’ve had the opportunity to try a wide variety of fall scents in our day.

10 Incredible Fall Scented Candles We Recommend

Paddywax Tobacco and Vanilla Fall Candle

Paddywax: Tobacco + Vanilla Candle

We finally have a candle from Paddywax in our fall favorites list! New for our list in 2018 is the Tobacco and Vanilla candle from the Hygge Collection. We had a tough time deciding between this and an all time favorite in Tobacco and Patchouli from their apothecary collection but we finally decided on this as we loved the chic look with the copper lid for fitting with fall decor. Both candles smell amazing and if you haven’t smelled either then get on it!!

autumn wreath yankee candle

Yankee Candle: Autumn Wreath Candle

Still on our list is a classic from Yankee Candle. This candle will completely immerse you in that fall feeling. Autumn wreath may be a name for a seemingly ambiguous scent but rest assured, this candle smells great. The scent seems to give off the aroma of a nice blend of spices with notes of apple and cinnamon. This is a candle that you can leave burning well into the holidays and it won’t seem out of place.

Nest Pumpkin Chai Candle

NEST Fragrances: Pumpkin Chai Candle

NEST Fragrances are one of the best candle brands around right now. They’re on the expensive side, but oh my, are they ever worth it. With the NEST pumpkin chai candle, you get a nice earthy scent that is strong but not too over the top. This is one of my personal favorites from this list 🙂

Illume Cider Woods Ceramic Apple Fall Candle

Illume: Cider Woods Ceramic Apple

I’ll admit it, I have a weakness for these ceramic candles from Illume. But they are honestly sooo good!! I am a firm believer that a candles look is almost as important as it’s burn quality. We buy candles because they smell good but also because they will look great in our homes. Luckily, not only do these candles look great but they smell great, and they burn great. Some of my favorite candles for fall of all time.

village candle mulled cider fallVillage Candle: Mulled Cider

Village Candle is a brand that doesn’t tend to get enough love around here. I personally love them, but I haven’t had them included in too many of my favorites lists as of yet. Well, it’s time to change that. New for our 2019 list updates is ‘Mulled Cider’ from Village Candle. Bring in the new season with this lovely scent and you won’t be sorry. It also doesn’t hurt that it comes in at a great price point as well!

Bath and Body Works Sweater Weather Candle

Bath and Body Works: Sweater Weather

As you probably already know, Bath and Body Works put out some highly fragranced 3 wick candles. They use a high concentration of fragrance oils to achieve this, but if you are a fan of very powerful scents than they may be right up your alley. This list wouldn’t be complete without adding at least one scent from their fall favorites collection and so I went with my personal favorite: Sweater Weather. This scent is a nice blend of eucalyptus, juniper berries, and fresh sage that comes together to create a special scent that is less sweet and more outdoorsy than many other fall scents. The only downside to these candles is that with only 14.5 oz of wax and 3 wicks, you will burn through these candles much faster than some of the others which makes the value a little less appealing than at first glance. The candle pictured above is the new look for 2018 which is now on Amazon as well as in stores.

voluspa baltic amber candle

Voluspa: Baltic Amber Candle

We couldn’t complete this list without adding a candle from Voluspa. Luckily, their “Baltic Amber” candle fits in perfectly with a fall collection. These candles add a bit of luxury with their quality natural coconut wax which helps carry the scents of amber, sandalwood, cedar and vanilla contained within. We loved the slow burn of this candle, giving us over a hundred hours of burn time out of 16 ounces of wax. The floral design on the glass jar hearkens back to traditional Japanese design and adds a nice touch to finish off the look of this candle.

Illume Woodfire Soy Fall CandleIllume Candles: Woodfire Sanded Mercury Glass

We just keep bringing this candle back year after year because it is the perfect candle for those that want to have that realistic wood burning scent without the fireplace. It’s great all year round but especially as fall rolls around. This is the candle that got me hooked on Illume Candles. The larger luxe sanded mercury glass version is my favorite style but I’ve linked to Illumes homepage where you can find all of the different styles this scent comes in.
If you are looking for another candle from Illume to bring out through the winter check out their balsam and cedar candle as it is great as well.

“Sweater Weather” from BBW is one of my fall favs, I just tried the “Pumpkin Chai” votive from NEST too and really liked it. Have you tried Pumpkin Bread from Gold Canyon, though? it’s my new favorite this year, I am absolutely hooked. The scent is so true and the throw is great. Literally smells like I have pumpkin bread in the oven, but better! Notes of spiced ginger root, pumpkin puree, and nutmeg.
