10 Best Scented Candles Under $30 (and less than $3 per ounce)

best scented candles under 30 feature - candle junkies

Our first top candles under $30 post turned out to be one of the most popular posts on the blog. However, that original post was made over 3 years ago now (where does the time go?) and while the picks on that list are all still great, we thought it would be a good idea to update the list and share some of our new favorites at that price point.

If you are unfamiliar with that list you may be asking yourself, “Well can’t nearly all candles be under $30 if they are miniature versions of a certain candle?”. And you would be correct, but the way that we are differentiating this list is by calculating a general price per ounce (wax) of $3 and under. This way you aren’t getting a tiny candle for that $30.

Please remember that the prices of the candles on this list are from the time of writing and are based on the MSRP. Be sure to check for the current prices of any products found on this list before buying.

4. Capri Blue – Volcano

Tropical fruits, sugared oranges, lemons and limes, redolent with lightly exotic mountain greens

Volcano from Capri Blue is THE Anthropologie candle. It’s that scent that is wafting through all their stores and treating all our noses.

We add this candle to many of our favorite lists as we feel it would be a disservice to people that may have not tried it before. It doesn’t always have the perfect burn, but it is a scent that will please even the most picky of fragrance snobs.

You’ve got to try one of these bad boys from Homeworx if you haven’t had the chance yet. The hot cider donut candle is a favorite of mine.

This brand is from Harry Slatkin who has been in the industry for a long time. After playing a part in making Bath and Body Works what it is today, he left and started this line of candles.

Lemongrass with fresh green notes slightly enhanced by sage.

These are just amazing candles at a very affordable price. The fragrance is strong but not too overpowering and they are long lasting.
